Hi. Wonder if someone can help. I had two egg credit cards both with ppi. I contacted Canada Sq re mis selling and had smaller card limit upheld. Higher limit refused on basis of Internet application and no advice given.
Now my husband pplied for card at same time over Internet and has just had his claim for misslling upheld!
How can one be refused and one upheld? Both pplicationd done on Internet within minutes of each other and no advice given on either.
any advice on how to move forward plz. I would add my cards paid off in Jun 2007. My husbands cards being paid off at present.

Write back and tell them you are disappointed with the outcome on one of the Credit Card PPI complaint and note it was for the higher amount you paid, but you do not agree despite it being an application online, as you would not have wasted your's and their time on making the complaint in the first place if you didnt think you had one.
What actual reason did they give to reject your complaint, for eg, application completed online and you could have opted out etc? If this was the case then write back and tell them it was already added to the account and you did believe it was all part of the application.
May I ask if you also had any pre med conditions at the time it was sold to you? if so then do also mention this, tell them you also want to make them aware you had a pre-med condition and you are now aware you would not have made a successful claim if you were to ever have made one.
Did you work full time or part time hours at the time of the application? If only part time hours, for eg 18 or 16 hours or less, then you would not have been eligible to make a successful claim.
If you were employed at the time it was sold to you, did your employer already cover you for sickness, for eg, 6 months to a year? Then you make them aware that you already had sufficient cover in place.
I think what they are implying is that because it was not sold face to face, it would not have been discussed with you, so no advice would have been given if it was an online application.
However, if your hubby had the same reasons where they upheld on one and not the other, that is a little odd too.
But do write back and ask them to review by 14 days and tell them you are not happy with the outcome because. etc and if you have any further info to give them, also state that you would also like this opportunity to give them further information for them to take into account.
Did they say if the decision was final or not?
If they did then write/email the CEO (Chief Executive officer) Manager and copy it to the complaints team and raise your concerns by giving him or her 14 days to write back and also say that if hear nothing further by 14 days or if they do not overturn the decision, you will be considering taking matters further.
Good luck, please keep us posted, cheers.
